This is where the fun with the local merchants begins. Shopping is a great experience anywhere but in Morocco it can have an additional taste of challenge. Chefchaouen has many stores selling crafts and local goods. From artisanal products to souvenirs you can browse through the merchandise and find items to your liking.

As the urge to buy products kicks in, and the products seem so be very eye-catching. You should summon the inner negotiator in you. Haggling with merchants is a local must do, and i highly recommend that you negotiate prices.

They actually expect it, so you can bargain like your life depends on it without upsetting the store owners as they are used to it. I found the craftsmanship to be very diversified and beautiful and often of good quality. Take your time to go through the shops to compare prices and choose what better fits you. Happy Shopping!!
